Whoa Nelly! Nelly Furtado guest stars on CSI: NY
Nelly Furtado has landed her first formal acting gig. She is currently in Hollywood taping an episode of CSI: NY that will air next month, on February 7th.
Not many details are known about the episode yet, but she plays a shoplifting murder suspect, Ava Grant.

Nelly went on Floribella, a Portuguese soap opera in November, where she played herself. But Nelly has been expanding beyond just her singing career by taking acting lessons while in Toronto, Canada.
I am looking forward to seeing how Nelly can transform from a singing songstress into an acting career. Some can pull it off well, such as Whitney Houston (if you forget all the after crap that started with Bobby Brown and drugs) while others such as Britney Spears crash and burn. I wonder which camp Nelly will fall into.
